Hatfield & McCoy trails, WV

Has anyone been to WV and done any of the Hatfield McCoy trails? The wife and I are going to WV and will have the DR with us sooo...

what about lodging for that area, I have the "info" from the official site but wanted to hear from anyone thats been there.

Scorch has been I think. Regardless, I have never heard anyone that's been there say a bad word about the place. We need to plan a 3 day weekend there.

The wife and I are going from 9/3 to 9/7 It is going to be a "gentle" offroad trip with her on the back of the DR650. I may get some time to ride a bit solo but probably only an hour or two.I think it is like 8 hours away so if a group of us go to do it sometime a weekend trip would be the way to go. drive up friday, ride all day sat, a few hours sun then head home.
For me I got to time it for a weekend when my wife is working.

I see you are from rednecksburg, do you know a Vernon Stiffler or Roger Frame,
they were coworkers and live down your way. Roger seems to end up riding a dirtbike or two.

Roger invited me down his way twice but he is a wild one... told me some stories that worried me (one involved fishing, drinking and his 9mil. the fish took 10 shots, I guess it was not a catch and release) He didn't "own" the bikes he was riding.
