F800GS top cases

Top case is a must for everyday commuting. If you have one show it with details about mounting please. Personally , i would like a top case that does not limit my options for panniers and am a bit confused about the whole issue

I have my Givi Maxia E52 mounted.. it holds a lot, is waterproof and I have added an LED kit that lights up the ENTIRE red surface, acts as a running light, brake light and turn signals.

What kind of windshield is that? Does it work well? $$$?

Cortech tail pack on a TT rack fits perfectly and holds my jacket liner, electric vest, extra gloves, and it has a rain cover.

That's a BMW Touring Windshield with a Laminar Lip attached. It did work well, but not as good as my Aeroflow now. But I think the main reason were that the handguards I had resulted in a lot of buffeting to the helmet and I never really thought of trying without them.

If you could fit R1200GS Adv wind wings with this setup (I never tried) it might have worked out nearly as well as the Aeroflow. For about the same price overall ...

So, if you want a well working windshield and don't mind taking it off for offroad rides, get an Aeroflow right away and don't mess with a couple others before, like I did.

Do you have any more pictures of your setup? Like side pictures. I would like to see how your setup looks on the F800GS.

Can you share with me what mounting plate item # (I'm looking on Twisted throttle) that I need to purchase to make an GIVI E360 top case (or any givi top case) work with the existing Beemer side cases on an F800gs? I'm kind of overwhelmed on the TT website since they seem to use the same picture for multiple products and my existing BMW vario side case brackets seem to take up 2 of the 4 mounting screws on the back tail end....

You're looking at the right part.

The Givi mount uses two of the same mounting points as the grab rail - you just add spacers and longer bolts to make up the platform height to the Givi plate.

Look at post 11, same thing.. I don't have any more pics. I might take a couple more when my camera is back home.. it's on loan right now.
