Garmin 76cx @ Amazon for $248.37
I have not been around here lately so I don't know if this is 205 but this looks like a decent price on a Garmin 76cx:

In the Costo Zumo 450 thread that was closed, someone asked how you receive the 2009 map upgrade. The answer is that you download it from Garmin's website as part of the registration process.

Great deal for a GPS (Run don't walk)
I found this on another forum but thought I would share here on ADVRider. The Garmin 2730 seems to be a decent Motorcycle GPS that has some great functions. XM Radio, MP3 just to name a few. You can buy them now for around $175 shipped to your door from places like Amazon, Ebay etc. Then if you decide that XM is not for you sell the XM antenna model GXM30 for $100 on Ebay and you have a very capable GPS for under $100 bucks. Where else you gonna get one at that price. You can't even buy a decent MP3 player for $75 and this will give you GPS. Check it out.

The cool thing about Garmin is that if you call them, they will upgrade your new unit with new maps. The 2009 maps are out, but I bought a unit on sale that had 2008 maps, but one quick phone conversation and the update was available from the mygarmin website. Be careful with other brand's units on sale though, as map updates can be $80-100.
Another great value is the Garmin Nuvi 500, for those wanting to step up. Its a bright screen waterproof unit, and so also makes a great motorcycle GPS. In addition to road maps, it also has topographical maps for offroad riding/hiking. And btw, by waterproof, they don't mean water resistant. You can use it submerged in an aquarium as seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALDiGADCl9c Its available on ebay right now for $370 free shipping. Search slickdeals.net for how to use the Microsoft Live 25% off on ebay purchases (you have to have a paypal account, but they are easy to set up). Total shipped no tax is $277, which is a much better deal than the Zumo niche product they sell.

2730
I picked up a 2730 and got it the other day. It came with the 2008 version of MapSource and version 9.0 of City Navigator NT. I had (have actually) the 2610 and find the 2730 will do just fine. I hope to take heeeYouuge ass trip next year!!.. :)

Garmin AMA Discount
Don't know the details just yet - but in this month's AMA magazine there is an ad that says that Garmin is going to give AMA members a 20% discount on two purchases per year. Offer is supposed to start on 11/19/08 www.garmin.com/ama
I checked today and didn't find anything out there. Hope it is 20% off the best retail price you can find. Dave
