2nd Day OZ SEQ Duck Creek Rd

Well this is my second RR for this weekend, so the fact that I can write that means I had an awesome weekend.

On my return yesterday from this http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=507783 my neighbour cornered me and said "Where are we going tomorrow for a ride,,, organise something...."

So gobsmacked,,, I gave it some thought since he had to be back arround 2pm it cut out alot of options. Duck Creek Rd O'Reileys came to my mind,,, or 17 Mile Rd Helidon.

So the next day 5 mins before departure Duck Creek Rd was selected....

So approximately 7:30 AM we left and headed to Yamanto for fuel and Breaky at Maccas.......

Breaky and Fuel Stop at Yamanto,,, oh look a Black one has joined the Green one...

Oh Look a Muppet,,,, hang on thats no Muppet thats me....

We blasted off on the Ipswich Boonah Rd then turned off and headed to Beaudesert. It was then I realised I had forgotten to upload the waypoint for Duck Creek Rd to the GPS. So quickly stopped found the road on the GPS and before you know it we were there. Did not take any photos but the trip on Kerry Rd was great very nice scenery and bugger all traffic.

This little Fellow with a Gammy Leg took a Shining to us,, actually he was waiting for us to depart so he could chase us..

Contrary to popular belief this is not a Muppet but actually my good neighbour,, the other one is an a$$hole an no it wasnt us who howled it up past his house this morning at 7:30 am, honestly .... Got love Staintune exhasts

Got to remember to go find out what the Lost World Valley Place is all about one day....

Enough of the Crap,,, Lets get into it,, Anyway this is the direction we should be heading

For Sale thinks I will go talk to my Bank Manager on Monday Guess I will find out what the letters FO mean

Just one Gate to open and Shut,, slipped a couple of bucks into the Road Upkeep Donation Box

Future Burgers on the Hoof

Awesome now your cooking with Gas

Up and Up and Up we climbed till we reached one of the hundreds of lookouts. The view was exceptional I mean really exceptional the Photos do not do it justice... I guess you will just have to go find out for yourselves to know what I mean..

Obligatory Quality bike photo's

From whence we came,, whence is that a real word hmmm anyway seems to work for me....

Bastard Twins,,, Green Definitely Looks Better ....

OK Enough of the BS Till later,, A pano Shot

OMG we came from there I had to really Zoom in to get this shot

Little Patch of green in the lower right of the corner is where the road is in the previous Picture

Anybody who is Anybody can get there name on a lookout,,, Muppet Lookout I wonder...

Road Still Goes Up

Did I mention how nice the green one is

From Whence we came... Hope it is a real word I have used it twice now... Still sounds good to me

Where we are going still upwards... Wonder if there is a word like Whence that you can use for the place you are going ??

A fourby full of Indians who would have thought,,, seriously though nice people had a chat.. One was on Holiday from UK,,, kept remarking how lucky we were to live in Australia... Aint that the truth...

I am now officially bored with Whence,,, so thats where we came from

Love Pano shots

Dueling Banjos,,, Green is so enviromentally friendly a colour dont you think

The Direction which we had previously proceeded from... Hmm there is alot to be said for "Whence"

Serious Note,,, You just gotta get out there and do this road so as to appreciate the beauty and the splendour of it all

Another Lookout

Commemorative Plaque

Still More up to go

Now the trees are really starting to close in

Scary Eh

Then Suddenly on the right it opens up to this

The place we were at just before we got here,,, ok from Whence we came

Looks like you can stay there

The direction we will shortly be going after we had come from whence we had been

Destination O'Reileys

Carpark at O'Reileys

Departed O'Reillys via the cage access point... great twisty but narrow road full of ignorant car drivers. Sadly really no spots to stop to take some pics. So it was down the twisty bits onto Canungra and then hack across Ripley Rd (dirt again ) back to home by about 2 PM

Absolutely Awesome Road,,, Duck Creek Road Highly Recommended

Just one small slice of the Great Ozzie Landscape
