PDX Off-Pavement Ride
Portland Area Off Pavement Rides SEE THE END OF THIS THREAD - I've long stopped updating this post. This thread has become a bulletin board for planning off-pavement rides around the Portland area. See the end of of this thread for discussion of the next or most recent ride. Bikes have mostly been a mix of 350s to 650s; knobbies pretty much required during the wet time of the year. Some rides are easy gravel and logging roads; other rides venture to OHV single track. We accommodate all bike and rider types. Go ahead, instigate a ride! Meet-Ups:
Back to Back Biped crash vid s1marks Banks West Scappoose Again Hell's Gifford Barlow mrazekan Jordan Creek White Salmon - Snowden Easy-Z Barlow Biped Barlow Clapped Dougan 3 Corner Black Dog 2010

A few of us are meeting at 10 am on Sat 11/14 in NW Portland, heading out toward Scappoose and into the hills from there -- for some off-pavement riding. It'll probably be too sloppy for anything too technical, so mx skills not necessary, not that I have any anyway.
Turn those grip heaters on and join us. PM me for meet-up location.

I'm all packed up, so I guess I am in.
I do need to be back home by 2:30... But I don't think I have enough layers to ride much longer than that anyway. |

In a week or two I'll be looking to have some fun on the bike formerly known as Fugly Just gotta finish detailing it back together and get a few oil changes under it's belt.

Burrr
It's going to be cold on the hands. Lets find something tight and technical (read slow) to stay warm.

Cross posting
Hey, nice thread. If you have any BIG rides, like weekend camping, or poker runs or rallies etc., I would love to promote or cross post those in our club out of the Seattle area. Especially this next summer I would love and our members would love to join you guys in some cool places you go in the great state of Oregon. If that's possible, you can contact me here or on our club site.
Thanks! |

In, probably.
(I just have to check over the XR350 and see how it faired after last week's punishing 100+ mile street ride to nowhere...) WB-PDX screwed with this post 09-23-2010 at 04:30 PM |

Does anyone remember what make I said this car is? I have been googling for a while, and I can't find anything. I thought I read it was made in Scotland on the tag in the back, but I may have confused that. I thought the name was something like Daphnie, but I can't turn up anything.
I still think it looks like an Opel, but I remember being surprised when seeing the tag that it *wasn't* an Opel. ![]() ![]() and here are pics from the riding part; ![]() ![]() That was an EXCELLENT day of riding. It was so frikkin' beautiful out there! WB-PDX screwed with this post 09-25-2010 at 04:25 PM |
