You Vegas guys are guarding your spots. Fair enough, I don't talk about my spots either.
The legal riding I've found from the interweb is: --a dry lake at Jean, south of town. -- some attractive rocks at Logandale, fifty miles north -- a patch of desert out by Nelson, south of Boulder City -- and I've been into some country a little farther south of that, not optimal trials but everything is trials... I have been over by Blue Diamond and Red Rocks years ago with a mountain bike, and found it underwhelming and overregulated. Not my first choice to try to fit in with a motor. I'll have an afternoon or two to kill, before my brother flies in and we are gonna go over to Johnson Valley, where indeed there seems to be some rocks to ride on. Thanks, Jj..J, I'll meet you someday. |

My Old Stomping Grounds
Maybe try Lovell canyon and the cut thru to red rock. Snow?
Or Potosi to Sandy Valley? Wheeler Pass? More snow? I don't live there anymore either, but I can put together a 160 mile 4x4 route still... ![]() Everything is closed or developed since I ran from the law there.

Premix -- I stopped checking and missed this. Thanks for responding.
I spent my idle time watching the card games at the Riviera, and no, I have no idea what's going on. Then we headed south, camped south of Searchlight and had a good day of boondocking. Yes, there are rocks in the desert. Also there is rain in the desert. We decided to head home before the next wave of snow closes I-40, which ought to be pretty soon. Good trip, nothing broken. Marc DDS -- Nevada is lovely. I'll check with you if and when I get to go further north. |
