Christmas Holiday rides anyone.

I have time off over the holidays and looking for people to ride with. If anyone is interested in a day ride in the next few weeks let me know. I know some good routes in toward Coronado, Tombstone, or Benson, or the Douglas area.

Sounds good claycraig.

I was about to start a thread for a holiday ride with some Sierra Vista folks I know, but I used the search and found yours, what a concept.

I am interested in a ride, perhaps Sat/Sun after Christmas or the following Friday/Saturday/Sunday?

There are a slew of Sierra Vista guys out there who ride. Perhaps a few will reply and we can get a ride going.

I would quit my job to ride, just not sure the family would like that too much, oh, and you got to buy all the food and gas. :)

A couple of us from san diego adventure riders will be coming your way this friday, hoping to get someone to show us the trails, if not maybe a good place in tombstone or bisbee to buy an off road map of the area. Any info would help. Thanks. repy to : tomw_west@yahoo.com

About the best map you will find with all the back roads are the benchmark maps. They do AZ in four maps, we are SE obviously. They have them at the Hastings here in Sierra Vista sometimes, but you might look in a big book store in another city in AZ as the SE Arizona ones sell out fast. I don't think a map exists with all the trails around here, and I don't know them or I would volunteer to lead you on some super gnarly stuff, but I just don't have the knowledge. I am good to do some dirt roads on Sat though if you want to look around the border.

What kind of riding are you interested in doing? Dirt roads along the border? What kind of bikes are you on?

let us know and have a good ride.

Hey guys, I'm up for showing you around on Saturday. I live in SV, but know the area around Bisbee well, and I can show you anything from gnarly ATV trails to melow dirt roads. Are you gonna be staying in Bisbee? Let us know.

rob, is the G back?

i sent him an email and offered to make him some maps, i was gonna send them on the border tour, and around the geronimo trail/middlemarch circuit. they are on a dr650 and some 990's.

it turns out i over estimated my cognitive abilities to make maps while stoned, and im having a hard time making the transition off the nerve block to percocete. .

Yes, the G is back, sitting a little too high, but it is back. I need to take it back to Tucson and Evan is going to take some measurements, then I am going to get him to shorten the Ohlins shock so my feet touch the ground. I had a bunch of preload dialed off, and he put it back to speck when he had it. That shock is longer than the stock shock.

I am home from work sick today, hopefully I will be better by the weekend and I might be up for a ride. I need to try out the new power commander and see if there is much of a difference in power/efficiency.

How is the shoulder feeling? Take it easy on the pain killers or you will get to like them too much, so I hear. I have the same deal with beer.

Sent ya an email. I'll be riding this weekend. Nothing too crazy, probably just around the Huachuca Mountains.

I'm out for today, my wife had to go to the airport, I thought her sister was leaving tomorrow, so the boy and I are at home.

Casual is good. I went on one ride with a number of folks on this board and while I applaud their skills, bat out of hell is not my riding style...not to mention they are much better riders. A few of us spun off and ride dual sport rides taking in the environment and enjoying the scenery. Not baby soft but not bat out of he'll either...in line with our abilities. Let me know when you want to ride and I'll let you know when we plan to hit the trail.
