Old airhead clutch part. Whats it for?
I know next to zip about any airhead older than a /5. I recently bought a job lot of airhead parts on Ebay. Wrapped in a bag was this device for reducing the clutch lever pressure.
Any idea what model airhead it's for?

Probably a home-made jobbie for the /5, 6, 7 series.... not terribly elegant, is it...!

I've offered up against my /7 but cannot get it to line up with any of the existing mounts. Looks like it's going in the bin.

Extra leverage (but less travel) for the clutch operating arm, like this-
http://www.benchmarkworks.com/articl...to/clutch.html Looks as though yours is simply a longer (intermediate) lever. puncar thogoole screwed with this post 01-11-2010 at 02:19 PM |

I wouldn't call the airhead clutches heavy. Looks like a solution looking for a problem.
