Middle Tennessee pixel hunt
It's open season in Middle Tennessee. No license required. Your weapon of choice will be some sort of digital camera...be it phone, helmet, SLR, hidden, pocket...doesn't matter. You can take down the elusive pixel with just about any camera. Just get 'em in the frame and shoot. Well, then share.
This is basically the same thing as all the tag-o-ramas out there. Just with a different name. I figgered tag-o-rama was getting well-worn. A simple explanation of the game: There should just about always be a current tag. If you wanna play, go find the tag and take a picture of it and your bike. Then post it back to this forum and claim your tag. Then post up a new tag...someone else will go get it. Rinse and repeat. I guess we need some rules (subject to change). Please read the rules if you intend to post to this thread: updated 4/17/10 1: Your photo must be taken after the new tag is established. (can't just use old photos you have on hand). This goes for a new tag placement as well. No file photos may be used. A photo taken on the way to the current tag may be used to place the new tag as long as it was taken no more than 24 hours prior to the new tag. 1a: Try to reproduce the photo as well as possible from memory. If something's blocking your way, just do your best...the idea is to prove you were there; not to critique composition. You may only submit one photo for a tag. You may only capture a tag with one photo. 2: Your photo must be taken from an area accessible to the public. Let's try and keep it legal. In the interest of as much participation as possible, the area should be accessible to all motorcycles. This means the tag location should be accessible via public road. Pavement is optional. Private property is okay as long as it is intended for public use and is open to the public (not gated/signed). A tag may not be taken nor placed inside a 'pay area'. If you have to pay to get in, you're out of bounds. 3: The winner of a tag makes the next tag; preferably on the same outing to keep the ball rolling. Winner has 24 hours after tagging to post a new tag. 3a: In the case that no new tag is established within 24 hours, the last tag still stands. For example, have a look at the first photo posted to the thread...the one with the big wine barrel. If it's tagged and no new tag is posted within 24 hours, then that first photo with the big wine barrel is still the current tag. Someone will need to go get it again. (The barrel photo is only an example...the game assumes that the last tag was never made). The player who invoked this rule (the one who tagged and failed to post a new one) is no longer eligible for this particular tag. 3b: Once a new tag is posted, it is the new tag. In other words, no changing the new tag once it's posted...time remaining in the 24 hour period or not. Why? Because someone may have already gone out for it. 4: Gotta have boundaries. Please consult the map above. If you're within the yellow counties, you're in bounds. Again, gated and/or pay areas are out of bounds even if they fall within the allowed counties. 5: Your bike (or the bike you're riding) must appear in the photo. You can crop and color-correct your photos, but you may not digitally (nor by conventional means) insert a motorcycle or a background. 6: First eligible post to this thread wins the tag. 7: Please don't post the whereabouts of or hints to a current tag until someone has tagged it. If a tag just starts taking too long, the original poster may start giving hints. ONLY the original poster can post hints. 8: You can't tag your own tag. 9: No whining. I guess that's enough for now. Adjustments can be made if necessary...just speak up...still tweaking the rules to everyone's liking. If you're new at this and don't quite get it, why don't ya just kick back and observe for a bit. It'll come to ya. And okay, we aren't actually hunting pixels. We're really looking to arrange them in a way so that others will believe that we've been where we say we have. But it had a ring to it. Happy Hunting! (Dangit!) That's just up the road, it's raining and I'm about to leave town. I'm sure someone will beat me to this unless I can dig up an old pic.

So then, according to rule # 6 I cannot take one with my truck in front of it on my way out of town (in the rain).
I'll lay-low until I can get something that matches this criteria. Looking forward to this thread. Thanks for setting it up.

And FWIW, if anyone doesn't like the parameters I posted, speak your peace. I was just drawing on memory from similar threads. If you don't make rules, folks will do stuff like go get the tags in their trucks

Well as i broke some of the rules (1,4,8) i am out, but i am new to this tag stuff. Where in the rules below does it state i have to ride to the Tag spot and take a tagged picture. I guess i am an Id10t.
Someone else can go to "removed upon request as it is a secret" and i will play again someday when the salt is gone. I am not riding this out in the salt, 30 degree weather is okay, but salt is not. ![]() Quote:

. But rule 6 says your bike must appear in the photo. You can't just say where it is. You have to actually go out there and take a picture with your bike in it. Have it shipped to your next tag location if you wish...just post that tag in within 24 hours. That's what the 24 hour rule is all about. And we're still trying to keep the current location under wraps for now if ya get my drift
