New kind of Adventure
My old bones have been reacting to rideing the KLR all the time so I found a smooth tourer.
![]() I tore TurnsLeft away from the single track today and went to Tacoma to get it. ![]() Yes we put the beautiful thing on a trailer. I had to listen to my good side and not hop on I-5 on a bike like this untill I get comfortable with it. Besides I got a good chance to BS with the Captain all day.

appropriate comments, seemingly related,,
You'll put yer eye out with that thang!
Don't expect me to get on the back of that thing with you!! Hey!, be careful where you point that thing! It'll do Zero to Jail,, in 6 seconds! Sir, do you know why I stopped you? Sir, do you know how fast you were going? Pay the fine in accordance with the judgment of this court, Mr. Edison, are you prepared to pay the court at this time?,,see the court clerk on your way out. It's really sweet! I could lose my license on the way to lunch with that tool! On the other hand,, if you had a buddy in Reno who had a flat tire,, you could run down there and help him change it in a couple hours! ![]() FJR = Flying Just (below) Radar

Nice.
Wanna have lunch at the Duck Brand in Winthrop tomorrow? The weather is supposed to be "better", and that bike has no problems with rain, I've got a similar one with lots and lots of rain miles, see? , ![]() I think I could be in Rockport about 10am. We don't have to go warp speed, but it's quite capable if you have the space, and are in the mood. This isn't admissible in court, of course. ![]() Quite a step away from a KLR. |

. It's very possible you'll see me at the Rockport store at 10:00. I'm quite new to this kind of machine and if your saying rain is no problem.....one big step from a KLR.Thanks for the invite Dan.

Tom, I'll plan to be there at about ten. Give me a professors grace period as I never really know how long it takes to get anywhere with morning traffic down here in the big city.
One caveat on the rain. It's still a motorcycle, so electric gear and decent weather protection is still in order. I remember riding Lolo once with a Goldwing guy. He and his wife rode over in the rain in little jackets. Good as it is, the FJR is still no Goldwing for weather protection. Seen you tomorrow. |

Dan, I don't have it wired yet for my electric vest but I'll layer up. The heated grips will help.
The meeting time is pretty flexible, 10 being the mid point. I not sure how many times I'll get stopped.
