Looking for: City Navigator North America NT 2009

My search came up empty on here, but I could be wrong. So feel free to point me in the right direction if I missed it.

I somehow wiped out my "City Navigator North America NT 2009, Deluxe All Regions, Apr 08 " off of my computer and Garmin no longer has it available for download, only for DVD purchase.

Can anyone point me to another download source? My Yahoo and Google searches only pointed me to a few dead links.

Thanks

Did you actually speak with a Garmin software techie and explain your dilemma. SOMETIMES, they will accommodate a Garmin customer who has registered his GPS then somehow deleted software.

I BTDT.

Yeah, I shot them an email a couple of weeks ago, and this is what I got. I sent my unlock codes and other info as well.

Dear Steve

Thank you for contacting Garmin International. This sounds like you are missing mapping software in your Mapsource program. Please check what maps are unlocked in Mapsource. You can find this information by selecting Utilities and then Manage Map Products. According to your myGarmin account, you updated the maps on your device to 2009.

So with the preloaded maps and the update, you may have had V8 and 2009 on your old Mapsource. To get 2009 on this new version, you have to purchase a $10.00 DVD, since the 2009 download is no longer on our servers.

With Best Regards,

Escalation from KANA On Demand Self Service Subject: download old map?
Message: I reinstalled mapsource after my laptop crashed, but the latest version is missing streets that was on my older version. Have I done something wrong? The current version I installed is 6.16.1, and I think I had 6.14.1 (I think).

You're complaining about having to buy a $10 dvd?
