Seems to hint that they're made in Slovenia by Akrapovich? It's possible that they're a cheaper Akra sold under another name?

Says that they're Titanium - if so, then cost is not an issue? They also look heavily baffled - road legal in Europe? I'm familiar ith a lot of European brands but have never heard of this make?

They look decent - and less than half the cost of the Akra's. hmmm

Read all the way through this, and have a question. I'm finding the Wings silencers going for $725.00. The Akras are $945 list. I know of a few good shops that discount all KTM parts 15%. Including the Akras. Doing the math, that means you can get the Akras for $803.25. The way everyone in this thread talks, I would've thought he Wings were hundreds and hundreds less. For $75 more, I'd go with the Akra everytime. Does anyone know where to get the Wings silencers for less?

I got mine direct for less than half the price you are being asked for, (In the EU).

Probably has something do with the markup of the US importer.
I suppose they have to pay freight and import taxes but then they probably buy them at a goodly discount. Pitch it a bit below the Ackras and sell loads. Greed may creep in as well.

You paid $340 US for the mufflers direct from Wings? I doubt it...That would be a lot less then we pay to get them here.

Nothing to do with greed, shipping is expensive.

I just can't believe everyone here is making such a big deal out of the price difference. Even without the 15% discount, it's only a few hundred bucks. With the discount, a measily 75 dollars separates the Akra and the Wings. I have a full Akra on my 625smc, and it is top notch through and through. Beautiful workmanship, perfect fit, great sound, and amazing performance. I'd rather pay a little more and get the innovator and not the imitator. The Wings are beautiful, but in my opinion, they need to be closer to $500 to do what they are trying to do (take business from Akra).

Do the Akra's come with two sets of baffles like the wings (28 & 32mm)?

Do the Akra baffles have a spark arrestor attached (yes I know it is not USFS approved)?

Just want to make sure that I am comparing apples to apples.

Thanks

Wings

I paid abouty 340 UK POUNDS for my Wings delivered to the UK from the factory. Thats about $575 USD.

Factory probably has an exclusive deal in the US to stop personal imports.

Robin.
