Honda z50 / Christmas came early?

Found the perfect Christmas present for my two boys on craigslist and managed to get mrspunch on board! Needs some work but it was CHEAP and so are the parts.

Sorry for the fuzzy pic, didnt realize the camera was on manual focus.

It was "siezed"... mainly cause it was in gear and the chain was one solid chunk of rust. I literally had to chisel it off.

Doesnt have any spark, looks like a mousey ate the wires?!

carb slide was stuck in the carb, but I already got it out.

Neither tire holds are, the forks are rusty, the front brake cable is stiff and the rear brake pedal doesnt move, but over all it looks like its in REALLY good shape, other than probably not having moved in the last 20 years...

Looks like some good bones to start with. I can still remember all the fun I had on my Z50 almost thirty years ago. Your boys are gonna love it!

awsome .I wish my kids were into it. I bought the boy a xr50 yrs ago and he didn't want anything to do with it. I would have killed for a minibike when I was 6.

Yeah, I also picked up a '77 DT100 that I was thinking they might grow into, but its quite a bit taller... Prolly gonna fix and sell it and see if I can find a KTM 50.

You'll have a blast on it even if they don't. I used to take the trash out with 79 and use it to "walk" my dog. It's also the only bike you can let anyone ride EXCEPT your friends that ride motorcycles, they'll destroy it.

As has been pointed out, you mentioned boys (plural) and this thread is about z50 (singular). I've got an 84 I need to sell before my friends do to it what they did to my 79 if you'd like a matching set. It looks just like yours. PM me if you're interested.

So glad you're from Arkansas.

Need I remind you that you sir are from Georgia, home of the people for whom the term "redneck" was invented.

You may be thinking of our neighbor, Alabama.

If yours is in the same price range as what I paid for this one and it can ALSO be delivered to my doorstep, we might be able to arrange something!

Your state: First state mentioned.
My state: Not mentioned.
My participation in redneck discussion in this particular thread: Finished.
I'm not offended or anything, just don't wanna hi-jack someone elses thread about something completely different. I'd be more than happy to explain to you why your state is way more redneck than mine via PM or another thread.

dorkpunch: PM sent.
