It seems another company has come out with a rear mud guard that is much more affordable than the mudsling. Nothing against the folks at mudsling but regardless of the R&D I just couldn't stomach the price. Anyone have one? if so what are your impressions? Maier rear splash guard Also sold as an Ilium Works but they look identical.

I've got a Maier on my 798. Fit well and was easy to install. Obviously functional.

I like mine. Works well, looks like it came with the bike (other than the zip ties)

Does anyone have the Maier splash guard mounted with BMW Vario luggage rack? Any installation conflicts?

![]() It comes within a 1/4 inch of the rack but doesn't touch it, didn't even notice it when installing. I can take closer photos if you want since my bike is parked at the moment with 1 inch of ice and 4 inches of snow outside!!!!!

The UPS man dropped mine off today...took 10-15 minutes to install, looks like the rest of the black plastic on the bike.
