Temps in the 50s!!!!

Is anybody else going riding tonight? My DR and I will be out on the road somewhere, getting at least one more fun ride in before winter!

I'm headed out riding tonight. It hit 50 here today. Frost and ice puddles are a daily thing now.

Neither one of you go fast enough, but enjoy your rides anyway.

OH yeah, Pam and I did! It was our first ride 2-up. Fun! 56f at Merrill Field today. Yay!

We rode yesterday as well. Went up Arctic Valley Rd. It was Pam's first ride in the dirt.
Freshly graded so it was like riding on marbles but Pam had a GREAT time anyway. WAY fun!

Yea, but mine is souped up so it outruns DR's and a few others.

Hey Logpile,

Great response and so true! One of the fastest things about Charlie is the speed his jaws flap, and flap... and flap...... I hope the temps are favorable for your ride! Not all of us are as dedicated (or delirious??) as AlcanRider, the Frozen Fossil, and we'll be forced to put our bikes up for the winter soon instead of riding year round.

AKCharlie posted a photo of me hugging his KLR a couple weeks ago. The only reason I hugged his bike was so that some of the good karma from my Dependable and Reliable DR would rub off onto his KLR. It obviously worked as we haven't heard about his bike having any problems lately. I'm sure Charlie will thank me someday, maybe when I'm down in Homer in a couple of weeks, although last time I "warned" him I was coming to Homer he hightailed it out of town for some reason.

If I had seen this earlier you could have gone with me & 'The Kid' & get stuck a few times in the peat bog sections on this little short trail.

He had to go off to Boy Scouts & I rode some more. Just got my big wet cold feet home. Maybe the kid & i can ride to the mountain top tomorrow night if I can be ready in time.

Mark,

You and Pam are stylin' on the Daytona! I'm glad to see more riders in radioactive alien vomit high viz ...hurts the eyes a little but good on ya!( I think we must have the same tailor and haberdasher. )

No pics but I've been "out the road" from Cordova a couple of times this past week. Crossing the Copper River on gravel sections between bridges was a little dicey in strong crosswinds but I saw black bears on the road both trips. Bears seem to have at least a little street sense. If only the largest member of the deer family had any...
