Anybody heard any news on this ride? Not listed on the AMA schedule for 2011????

Hey Hoghead... I emailed the about 6 weeks ago and they replied saying they were working on it, and they would let me know.

I never heard back from them. Emailed them again about a week ago and haven't heard anything.

Just tried calling them and left a message.

I sure hope they have the ride. Let me know if you hear something. I'll do the same.......IHF

UPDATE....I called the KOA up there and they said it was penciled in on thier calendar for May 6-7......but nothing was certain yet...

AMA website has posted info on the Renfro Valley Dual Sport on May 7 - 8.

A little detective work shows that the phone # in the AMA listing is listed on the 4funtrailriders website, same promoters as in previous years.

So far it looks like this event will take place in 2012 on May 5-6. I hope so it is a good way to start the Dual Sport season.

I believe you are correct, I have heard the same thing from the KOA campground.

What I found strange is the KOA knows the date (listed on usdualsport.com) but when contacting the club I couldn't get an answer on the date. I made reservations for a cabin based on the dates the KOA has down, just hope it happens now.
I understand that different clubs have run this event over the years?
This will be my first time at this event, I'll be coming a long distance so I hope it's worth it.

Trust me I agree with you I don't know why it is like that. We do this ride every year, and every year I have to call the KOA to ask them when the event is going to take place. Mabey this year when I'm there I will ask one of the head people if they will just shoot me a call or email that way I can post it on my page, and we all will know if the ride is going to take place.

Does anyone know who is putting the ride on this year. I have heard from all my sources that it is going to happen just don't know what club picked it up this year? I would like to sponsor this ride, but don't know who to call.

Same here, and glad to see it I already got a camp site, but didn't like driving down with out knowing for sure it was going to happen.
