Post Your T.W.O. (Two Wheels Only Motorcycle Resort) Pics

Two Wheels Only Motorcycle Resort in Suches Georgia has been a major part of the motorcycling scene for over 30 years. One of the saddest things I have ever heard was the announcement made yesterday that it would be closing for good.

I have been going there regularly for over 20 years and have many great memories. The place itself had tremendous character. It was surrounded by great riding and scenery. Most of all, it was a great place to meet riders from all over the world. TWO will be missed by thousands, and it cannot be replaced. I took quite a few pictures there but wish I had taken more.

I am starting this thread so everyone can post their pictures, and memories here.

The original owner and founder, Frank Cheek, in front of the TWO sign in 1991.

More recent pic:

I have many more to follow. Please post yours.

A typical day at TWO.

A couple of regulars.

My last time camping there.

More campers.

Another 20 year old pic. This is one thing that made TWO unique:

No cars allowed! Frank started TWO because he was pissed off when he was turned away from a campground because he was on a motorcycle.

One time a customer made the mistake of parking his car in front of this sign, then leaving it there and going off riding. He was a guest staying in one of the upstairs rooms. Frank was waiting for him when he returned and said.

You have failed as a customer. GET OUT!!!

My first visit to T W O was in the 80's, i dont remember what year but it was a long time ago.. Frank even had over flow camping at the Airport when the regular campground got full..we still try to make it there at least 2 sometime 3 times a year from kentucky and it has changed some but it is still the best campground anywhere..i will try to find some pictures..

Two

I stayed there about 2 years ago with a good friend. Really enjoyed the place especially GT and the lodge and the great food and people. Thing I liked about GT besides his great culinary skills was that he was just a plain straight shooter. Here are a few pics from my trip,

In the interest of full disclosure:

Many of you knew "Rev." Eddie James who passed away in Atlanta a little over a year ago in a negligent motorist accident. A small "vial" containing a bit of Eddie's remains, labeled, was placed at one of his favored places, the pool cue rack at TWO. It seems the "vial" no longer contains Eddie's mortal body remains. One can only wonder about who and in what manner disposed of Eddie's sacred mortal ashes.

Somebody that knew him may want to retrieve that this weekend....TWO posted that they will be there liquidating and has asked clubs to come get their memorabilia.

Here's a copy n paste from fb.

Some of the Buell stuff will be sent to Erik.
