Review; NelsonRigg CL850 + Givi TREKKER on a XT1200Z

Yesterday I mounted my CL-850's on my S10. Looks fantastic.
On my old Strom you had the same problem as now on the S10. Exhaust on one side, so the soft luggage needs support on the other.
On the Strom I fixed that using the Dan Vesel Soft Luggage Guard (and a couple of Tool Tubes)

On the S10, I opted for the SW Motech Quicklock EVO Rack. Install is a breeze. The backbrace uses the license plate holder. I have the Touratech mudguard on there, and even then it installed without a fuss.

I then added the CL850's. Strapped right down, and the top straps can go under the passenger seat no problem!

Added the Givi Trekker 46L Top Box and I think my luggage setup is complete!

Feel free to ask any questions!

You should consider getting more than just 1 map.

Clever!

I wonder if that would work on my Multi... I am torn on luggage.

Haha very funny wiseguy

The plate is the new European license plate for Belgium. Way bigger then the old one you can see in the top picture (old = yellow), and now we have to pay 20€'s to get one

Last week in Germany some one said "I've never seen that one!"

I said "it's from Bolivia"

Took the soft bag inside measurements last night.

40cm long
28cm heigh
18cm deep

Hope that helps.

And some pics that might interest you all...

Schuberth C3 57 size

Sticks out a bit

But! The nice things about soft bags, you can still close them! Yes it's a bit of a fiddle, but it closes fine!

And I wonder what's in that Trekker 46L case...

That's a Schuberth C3 52 and 57!

nice luggage and beautiful bike

dear too tall

i admire your yamaha super tenere and your givi bike luggage . i am expecting delivery of a new all black ( raven ) 2012 yamaha xt1200z super tenere here in the usa sometime later this summer . i have been researching the online listings for motorcycle side cases and top cases to install on the yamaha super tenere . thank you for your informative review of the givi trk46n trekker . what a fantastic top case . the 46L ( liter ) capacity of the givi trk46n trekker is an important feature . i will often be riding with a passenger on the yamaha super tenere and we will be wearing two arai xc ram open face helmets . it would be convenient if i could store one or both of the arai open face helmets inside a givi trk46n . is this particular top case also used as a side case ? is the givi trk46n trekker normally mounted on a side case rack as well as a top case rack ? does the givi trk46n come in an all black color ? with the necessary mounting hardware and side racks could i conceivably install three all black 46L givi trk46n trekker luggage pieces on my 2012 yamaha super tenere ? if that is possible then i would have a total of 138 liters of secure removable storage capacity on the yamaha super tenere . thank you for your excellent review and i would appreciate a brief response to my inquiries when you get time .

Theoretically you could run 3 46l cases, but they are quite huge. Great for camping, not so great for filtering. There's a reason for the 32l case, although the 46l case can be mounted as a sidecase no problem! All you need is a givi compatible rack and they are good to go. No sign of all black colours, but thats what rattlecans are for.
