Kicking out of gear
Anyone have any problems with their 950/990 kicking out of gear. My '11 990 has done it about half a dozen times now. It seems to just after I shift into 3ed, and when I get back on the gas it kicks out of gear. I find the shifter a little high, so I was going to pull it of and try it a little lower to see if it makes any difference. The bike has 1400 km on it, and it seems to happen when I'm on the gas pretty hard???

My 2010 will do it if I dont get it all teh way in gear, totally my fault not the bike. it will just hang until you apply power and then it spits it out.
Its always on the upshift, so yes adjust your lever and all will be good! -H

you say the shifter is a little high ... when shifting up is the lever contacting the side case & not fully engaging into the gear hence causing it to jump back a gear ?
