New Kawasaki Versys 1000 in 2012

Just found news about a possible Kawasaki Versys 1000, the bike will be powered by the Z1000 inline-four engine.

Now we need a Six cylinder ADV Bike. Any takers??

Maybe Group Qianjiang can bring back the Benelli 750 motor for the mid range segment. Time to start a rumour I think.

Well I suppose since the Europeans like Jacked up road bikes, this was bound to happen.

At least we are getting flooded with practical bikes for a change.

I'm not sure if that's brilliant or insane. However, if it's a Kwak - it'll be fun, but probably won't have a center stand. One of my personal hates on a road bike.

They need to maximise revenue from the development of the Z1000 engine, and it's been a while since they had the KLV..

My only real hope is that this lights a fire under Suzuki's ass. Give me a GSXR 1000 powered mad bastard on stilts with a 30 lt tank and i will love you long time.
A Bakker Grizzly for 11 grand. Oh yes.

Since Honda has its head too far up its own ass and is not bringing the cbf1000 to US, I hope Kawasaki will do better with this "Versys 1000"

I still have to say, damn the CBF1000 has so many things going for it!

That was my first thought. I couldn't BELIEVE it the first time I heard it was the 4 cylinder from the Ninja 1000!

The looks are starting to grow on me, but this bike is first and foremost a streetbike, to which anyone who has had a 500 + pound bike on any dirt surface with less than great traction will attest.

You get into anything loose (sand, mud, wet) with any bike that heavy and forget keeping it on two wheels and keeping your limbs intact.

So for a streetbike, the 1,000 cc Ninja engine should ROCK. I would be happier though if they ditched all the high-tech electronics.

One of the most annoying things about my 650 are the vibrations, I can't
even imagine how much almost twice as big engine would vibrate.

no need to fix it, just read it again... SOME...

about your 1-2% figure, you are quantifying without having the data... especially in certain forums you belong that nothing can be said against the S10...

Waiting for the punch line.... like

it will be like a KLR

and have only five gears......

and like a KLR, the manual will indicate it has six.

Z1000 engine in a dual sport. It may not be the best in the dirt but it certainly will be among the fastest.
