The Motorcycle Shop Goes Digital!

Hello ADVRider!

Well, it's been a long time coming, but The Motorcycle Shop has finally joined the digital/internet ranks!

My name is Brendon Gallant, and I'm the Assistant GM/Systems Admin at The Motorcycle Shop. Some of you knew my friend and predecessor Zack, I've replaced him as he's pursuing his passion, air traffic control.

I'll be the POC for ADVRider, and I've got a facebook page going for us facebook.com/themotorcycleshopak

I've been hearing great things about this site from Barb, Mark H and many others, and I've taken it upon myself to get us up to speed with the ADV world!

I'm here to help in any way I can, not just plug the shop. Travelers looking for info, locals doing the same, anything, just ask and I'll do my best to assist!

Thanks for your time,

Are we going to see a revamp of TMC's website with actual inventory (new/used), etc?

Thanks for the replies!

Website: keeping it current? Absolutely! I want anyone to be able to see our site and get a feel of what our shop is like, as well as have reasonably current (within the past week) inventory on bikes, not what we had in 05...
We're the first result if you google The Motorcycle Shop, time to take advantage of that!

Discounts:Ha, fair enough, legend has it Doug G did cut some deals in the past, but he doesn't work here anymore...;)
I'll say this, let us get our feet beneath ourselves and up to speed with our 2.0 transition, then we can talk, deal? I'm not opposed to selling things, I'm always happy to talk about price, you just gotta ask!

Thanks again for the interest, looks like some white stuff is falling again...

Welcome to the site.
Glad to read of a local dealer joining the crowd and hope it will improve customer service.
Zack never did call me about those bearings I ordered......June 2010.....gave up and found them in Cali.

And I couldn't get a quote on a bike so I bought one in Denver!

Congrats Brendon! We're all going to be pulling for you. That shop has always had a lot of promise - now ride it like a favorite bike!

Welcome aboard, Brendon!! Gah! Change at my favorite shop? Just kidding :) Zack helped me get some cool stuff for my Ducati over the last year or so. I haven't been in for a couple of months but I'm sure I'll be in a few times over the winter. I've just liked the facebook page, too :)

Thanks!

Hey Guys and Gals!

First: Thank you SO MUCH for your comments! This is the most effective way I can ensure that we take the best step forward! I only see things from my end, I need the customer's (you!) input to make sure my best practices are working!

If you've got any parts, warranty, or questions in general, don't hesitate to PM me on here, call the shop, or email me brendongallant@gmail.com I'm always available, and yes, even on Sundays and Mondays!

I appreciate the welcome, and I'm excited for the upcoming years together!

As far as parts inventories online, that's going to be a tough one since we have 6 brands now, putting everything online is definitely a long term goal, but we'll start with the showroom first.

Parts inquiries: If you know your part # or description of said part and don't want to wait on the phone (the "on hold" times are being addressed), email me! brendongallant@gmail.com or themotorcycleshop@gmail.com and I PROMISE I'll email you back by days end, hopefully sooner.

Hold times: If you've been at the shop in the summer,it's no secret that we're busy, often times when the phone gets hung up when putting someone on hold there are several people needing to be helped. I'm in the process of building a staff that are ready for 110% in the summer to best avoid long hold times, and long waits for parts.

Service: 4 weeks booked out isn't unheard of, and we're looking for additional techs to help with overflow work. There is absolutely no reason someone should wait more than 2 days if all they need are tires and oil change. Small, but effective changes are the first thing, from there we can work on the big picture.

Again, let me reiterate, I need to hear back from you! Your input as customers/enthusiasts/friends are some of the most valuable bits of information we can get, so don't hold back!

Most excellent, Brendon! I'm so excited to have you finally coming on the scene.

As you can see there are many people with a lot of high hopes for you and your involvement with TMS.

I've really been spreading the word about your arrival and encouraging people to give you and the shop another chance and to go in and introduce themselves to you.

Good luck and have fun, Mark H.
