"Zig Zagging the SA Tothill Ranges along a Dotted Line" SA Adv

Following on from here: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showp...postcount=5651

I'm finally hoping to experience the "vibes" of the Port Henry Arms Hotel where .....

" the usual drunken mob of bullockies also known as "early adventure riders" were playing cards, drinking, swearing, fighting. So little were they trusted, that the landlord or landlady held the nobbler in one hand while they take money with the other! ... So much is the publican in the hands of these ruffians that they insist upon his rising at any hour of the night and satisfying their insatiable desire for drink. They were known, as a notoriously hard living, hard drinking and hard wenching group. They cussed, drank and womanised and in that order"

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm ......................................... sounds like another annual event I know.

I can't wait any longer ........ I'm planning my next ride to follow some dots on a map to join them

"Zig Zagging the Tothill Ranges along a Dotted Line"

Sunday 5th Feb departing BP 22 Murray St Gawler 8am.

"Zig Zag .................................. the sequel"

Saturday 17th March refer post #196

Departing 8am BP 22 Murray St, Gawler

A few "Southerners" are departing Shell, Hawthorn 147 Belair Rd (just north of the Mitcham shopping Centre) by 7am, & should be in Gawler for 8am start.

Then the usual debrief .........................................PS don't believe the rest of the BS Trev says though

Thanks MB but I've had mine converted - she runs on petrol now - the mileage on the latte's was shockin'

...and at 3 bucks for about 250ml, and a 33L tank - you do the maths !

Just take it easy with Masterbrewer until you get to known him - you'll need a while to get used to his practical jokes etc. Last one took 7 hrs with no flats or other unexpected stoppages. See you there.

I think I will see how it goes and if I wear out I can always find my way home

However my usual trips on the Ninja 250 last about 300KM each weekend except they are all tarmac so I'm sure it will be an entirely different story ;) as well as I've never ridden a dirt bike or any major off road stuff so some call me crazy for getting such a big bike to start with ;)

Anywho should be great fun to meet up with all you guys and put some names to faces, lets just hope I can get up so early ;)

I hope you realise it will be all dirt & that I will be often on previously unridden/unknown dirt "tracks" which at times may be challenging for a new dirt rider on an unfamiliar big beast.

Just please let someone in the group know when you decide to head home.
