Power Outlet Quandry

i bought a cigarette to coax adapter cable to power my gerbings thermostat from my Adventures power outlet. No indicators light up on the thermostat. My multimeter is showing 12 volts at the coax connection.

A cell phone charger works if I plug it directly into the outlet, but if I use a cigarette to sae to cigarette extension cable, the charger will not work....again, I get a good voltage reading with the proper polarity....

Any ideas?
Thanks!

Scott

Sometimes a poor connection will show voltage but no current will flow.

Some ciggy lighter plugs/adapters are, well, poorly made. Why not wire a fused connection directly off the battery?

I know that is what I really need to do....I was hoping to get off easy!

I may convert that to a powerlet socket

Solved by taking out the cigarette socket and installing a powerlet socket! Easy! I love how this bike is put together! The leads for ACC2 are right there too if I need a switched plug in the future!
