Which Sahara 3 Metzeler for a G/S?

I know this has been discussed before but I wasn't able to see a straight answer.

I want to install the widest tire that would fit on my R80G/S
The Metzeler documentation suggests to install the Rear 4.00-18 which is 118mm wide...
They also have the 120/80-18 which is 123mm wide
and
the 140/80-18 which is 142mm wide

Anyone was able to fit the 140 on this bike? (I have the stock shock and stock rim).

The 120 will fit with under a 1/4" of space off the swingarm. The 140 won't fit unless you dish your wheel out to the left quite a bit.

mmm... I don't want to make any changes to my wheel.
Currently I have installed a Michelin Sirac 120/80 and it has a good 1/2" of space to the swingarm I was hoping I could fit something bigger.

Anyone has a suggestion for a tire similar to the Metzeler Sahara (50%-50%) on a 130 size that would fit a G/S?

I like MEFOs for a 50/50 tire. I haven't tried heidenaus yet though. 120 is really the biggest size that should be fitted to a monolever G/S unless you modify the wheel.

I have Heidenua K60's on my G/S and like them, way better than the Sahara 3's. I'd choose Dunlop 606's or TCK 80's before the Saharas.

I can't find a Heidenau K60 in 120 size. What size do you have on your G/S?

The Original fitment tyres for your bike are still available. They were designed for your machine wear well and are very cheap for a pair. You'll also never find better tyres for handling on and off road Metzler Enduros 1 & 2

You can't find enduro 1 and 2 in the US any longer... :-(

I'm running a 120/90x18 if you have an Ohlins shock the tire may hit the spring. It's close to my YSS spring about 1/4" clearance.
