2012 Dargo High Plains Rally 7 - 9 September
VIC. Talbotville, approx 32kms north of Dargo. I think the most stunning campsite in Oz.
I'll be heading down from Sydney again this year, who else is going ?? My ride report from 2010 http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=620068

Just trying to decide if I take the guzzi or the KTM.
Greg, are you going to make the decision easier for me and come down for a locals ride? |

Asses, I don't think I can get a leave pass so soon after APC........ But will try.
Love the high country. Edit: Ha ha, I typed Awwww above, the iPad changed it to asses by auto correct. So I'll leave it that way, seems just as suitable.

When we passed through Dargo on the way to Jingellic Dan and Maggie said they had signed contracts for the sale of their business so doubt they will be there in September.
They are going to be missed big time but really deserve to back off a bit and smell the roses. ![]()

That's sad. We can only hope the new owners are half as nice as Dan and Maggie are.

Yep, we were there on a ride the very first weekend they took over. A support car broke a trailer spring mount, Dan was too keen to dig through his shed full of as yet unpacked tools and gear to find his stick welder and bits of steel so we could get it going again.
Always helpful and pleasant to deal with, he's the type of guy that makes me happy to support small town business any way I can.

Should we start a dargo dan thread?
How about the time he didn't have a 990 wheel bearing- no worries, he just pulled the wheel out if his own bike to get ian home! Better still, does anyone have any messages of thanks so we can drop off a card? |
