Transport Canada auctioning off its BMW 118d test car
I was scanning the Government of Canada's crown asset disposal site and I noticedTransport Canada was auctioning off a BMW 118d, and it was listed for "export only". I had never heard of this model and found the disclaimer rather peculiar, so I did a little research. Turns out TC brought the car over from the Motherland to specifically test the "green" features such as regenerative breaking and idle start-stop system. Now they are disposing of it after 13k Kms.
The auction ends July 24 at 2:55 pm (I guess they did not want to close the auction at 3 pm because that was the start of their coffee break.
