F800GS in a 5ft Tacoma bed?

Hey I am curious if anyone has put their F800GS in a 5ft bed? I might be picking up a used truck and want to ride the bike to purchase it then load it up for the ride home. Thanks

It'd be close... the rear tire is on the tailgate in my 6 foot bed. May have to get it in there crossways.

I've had mine in the 5ft bed of my 2011 Frontier and it was fine hauling from Dallas to Colorado Springs and back last year. The rear tire contact patch is maybe 2 or 3 inches from the very end of the tailgate so there's not much room to spare, but I've had no issues hauling my bike this way.

Just did it two weeks ago! Yeah its close, on an angle with the bars turned slightly, the rear wheel sits just past the hinge point of the tail gate. 1000+ kms and not a problem

F800GS and Toyota Tacoma

This isn't the 5 ft bed. It's a 6 ft on a 2007 Access Cab Tacoma. But, it does fit in there completely when positioned diagonally and the gate closes.

I suspect that it would fit in the 5 ft bed but you wouldn't be able to close the gate.

Hope that helps.

It may fit but Tacomas are notorious for the tailgate bending so be careful. The composite part flexes too much. Don't ask me how I know.

Mine fit with the tailgate down - sideways. 2004 Nissan Frontier Crew Shortbed. Thanks how I picked it up at the dealership 8 hours away.
