It should with the new intake and exhaust design. Plus the 125 BHP is nice. I think the main reason it sounds like that is due to the wet clutch design. The big flywheel, clutch disc and pressure plate are gone and that will allow for quicker throttle response in itself. Adding 15 BHP won't hurt either.

![]() Oh, so rich. First, BMW actually is successful at WSBK, despite your predictions. Now this ignominy, a GS you might like. Put some pepper on that crow, 'flug. It'll taste better.

As far as them being successful at WSBK if they'd have done something on their own it might be meaningful but as they ran their mouths for years about their bikes being fast when they were 50mph slower than the bikes from japan and then went the if you can't beat them join them route. Time marches on and I'm thinking this waterhead or whatever they call it is a real gem and might finally be the upright seating street legal close your eye's you're on a big motocross bike without the pain and it even rips thing the world (or at least me) has been looking for. I could buy an awful lot of Nikon with what this will cost so it's a pipe dream but I'd still like to ride one. |

I don't think so. That was the twin spark 1150, IMHO.
![]() These will wind up being called wetheads or something. Those of us of a certain age probably recall "The wethead is dead" advertising from the early 70s.

I'm new here so I don't know flug but after reading his initial post I thought he may have had a stroke. After reading your responses I guess all is well with the man.

Well, it sounds fun, but then so did a few other things that years later cause me a good deal of discomfort.
I think my 1150 is my last BMW. I was pretty sure of it when I bought it 8 years ago and at the rate I'm not wearing it out these days along with the rate my employment options are diminishing KLR's look too expensive. I'm just wondering what overly complex and expensive, dealer service only item they have added.
