Starting May 4, 2013, a coast to coast for tiddlers

Beginning May 4th there will be a no holds barred, balls to the wall run from New York to Los Angeles. The ride is billed as the "Real Cannonball" and will be for motorcycles up to 250cc for modern bikes and 360cc for vintage bikes of 30+ years of age. There are four motorcycle classes. We will begin at the starting point of the Brock Yates/Dan Gurney ride of the 1970's that protested the national 55mph speed limit of that era, and will finish at their end destination. So, basically, we're talking about leaving from the Red Ball Garage in Manhattan, NY and riding to the Portofino Hotel in Redondo Beach, Ca. There's also a scooter class.
