Dual Sport adventure weekend in the North Georgia Mountains
Had a great time with my brother and a friend over a 3 day journey, 258 miles in the North GA mountains. We did a loop starting and ending in Elijay and traveled 260 miles on fire and forest service roads. This was our first dual sporting adventure and we had a blast! Can't wait to do more.
Bikes - 2011 Husky TE310, 2013 Husky Terra 650, KTM LC4 Cameras - GoPro Hero2 and GoPro Hero3 Black **Click on the gear/settings icon and put the video in 1080p for best quality**

Nice Video...
Khale -
How do you like the 310? How many miles have you put on the bike? Just getting ideas of various smaller bikes and yours has good specs. ![]() Also, do you have the GPS starting point for the loop you took or map for Elijay? Thanks, Larry |

I would share the map on here, but I didn't create it. I'll consult with the map creator to see if he cares to share here. He spent a long time plotting it out, so I want to be respectful of his work and if he wants to give up the route. I can tell you we traveled on Wolf Pen Gap Rd, Mulkey Gap Rd, Coopers Creek Rd and Old Highway 76. Some other advriders have suggested Hale Ridge, Patterson Gap, Wilks rd, and Poplar Stump.

Understood...Thanks!
I can respect that too of course....the roads help, I can probably piece together
a route from that. Itching to go riding again when....tornadoes pass! Moved to ATL 5 years back from California and only been in the dirt once. ![]() (But I only bought my bike about 8 months back - mostly commuting to work here and there ugh.) Peace, Larry |

Looks like ya'll had fun. I was up there on my 950 Adv 2 weeks ago.Have you done Duncan Ridge around Suches or Tray Mt near Helen? A friend and I used to go from Dalton to Clayton on FS roads a lot when he had houses in both places. A lot of good riding up there.

Good video, Kyle.
I recognize most of those roads, (except the first one in the video) Looked like getting that 650 around that gate was about as hard as a KLR.... I'm hoping to get back up there again soon as the weather warms up a little... 3 other Great roads are Flat Creek rd, Flatland rd, and especially Charlies Creek road...

I've got the KML for the route if you want feel free to PM or email me. Spent a lot of time mapping it out don't want to just throw it out into the wild. Happy to share with any of you ADV guys! If I find you on the trail though you owe me a beer ![]()
