El Paso Mountain "Nightmare Gulch" and Beyond
18 of us embarked on an El Paso Mountain "Nightmare Gulch" and Beyond ride on Jan 26, 2013. The final weekend it was open for the season. Closed from Feb1-Jul1. Perfect Weather, Perfect conditions, and a perfect bunch of riders.
We did a little bit of everything, from Jeep trails, double track, single track, up hill, downhill, rocks and sand. 50 miles of fun. A mix of Dual sport and OHV bikes. Noticed there were alot more fences and red markers than of past rides. but, still, made a good route and had a blast. Everyone had fun, even the two who got injured. One guy broke his collar bone near the beginning of the ride, but kept on going. the other tore up his knee near the end. both rode out themselves.
