CASEY STONER on 4 Wheels

It's time to get this boy out of the MotoGP thread, though I'm sure I'm not the only guy interested in his progress.

He's starting out in the Dunlop Support series, which are V8 sedans, but I think a little less powerful than the V8 Supercar Series.

He practiced today, didn't damage any paint, and finished up 8th.

First race is Friday.

Thanks for the link. I will be following his progress, although I already miss him on two wheels.

Good luck to the young felow I say - MotoGP's loss is V8 Supercars gain - should be good to see him at Bathurst this year if only in the support racing.

Going OK, top ten, flat spotted when running wide, puncture, concrete wall. All over, red rover.

Early days. Starts from back of grid tomorrow. That could be interesting...

So they are spec. cars, similar to NASCAR? Same chassis, just plug in an engine?

Pretty much. Shows you how narrow minded so many are.

The main difference though is they're not oval-based down under.
