Lets see your helmet...

I recently purchased a 77 r75/7 and am thinking about getting a full face helmet. I want to get something that will be safe, but also have a nice vintage look to it.

I currently ride a cb650 cafe and wear a Arther Fulmer AF40 with a bubble shield and I love it.

I am leaning towards waiting until the Biltwell Gringo comes out and going with that. Any other suggestions?

If this is ever actually brought into production, I will own one!

I dig Roof Boxer helmets for the vintage look

I really like the orange

They are modular so you can run them 1/2 or full

Re: Roof Boxer V8

Looks like something out of 'Halo'. Very cool. Does it come with a matching jetpack?

It's like they made the helmet just for me and my bumbleebee :)

Scorpion EXO 300 "Burst" design black/yellow. NLA I think.

Bell Vortex B54

This is one I considered during a recent purchase. In wound up getting a different model. Great venting and price. Around $100 on motorcyclecloseouts.com

Just beware of their return policy. Ie return shipping is paid by you.

Wound up getting this instead.

Bell Vortex Siege

What are you thinking!!! You've got a great helmet.

Fulmer V2, Halcyon MK9s, Vanson Enfield Jacket, and My 75 R75/6

I'm thinking that I like my face. my bubble shield doesn't exactly provide the protection that I'm looking for.

I hear you. I get in this debate with guys I ride with all the time. Back when I started riding almost all helmets were open faced, smaller too, but with the sport bikes came better safety gear.

Personally I know more people who have trashed their face cycling then riding motorcycles with an open face helmet, but there is a risk and you got to find you own comfort zone. I wasn't giving you a hard time just joking around with you because I really like your current helmet

Of the full face helmets posted I liked that Bitwell as well.

Personally I like the old school 80s Bieffe's

But only in black, and it's hard to find clear visors for them, and the foam padding they used just falls apart over time.

Good luck, Jim
