Is there firewood at the campground? and is it expensive for 3 or 4 pieces? Would it be cost effective to buy a pickup load and everybody pitch in to pay for it. Got to have a big campfire to drink bourbon.
or scotch, whiskey, beer, wine, soda, juice, etc.....

if we get short on wood, there's always lawn chairs and picnic tables. BDXMPL will have his propane torch, everything burns with that.

HalcyonDaze is in charge of the wood I believe.

The spot we reserved for "party central" are 565, 575 and 585. The other spots are open, but I think we should try to fill them all up before we end up with any squatters

Here's my suggestion: book yourself a spot, and post up to share your space (or keep it for yourself). According to the girl I spoke to, one car equals 2 motorcycles. I think all spots are good for about 3 tents. Link to campground website. (OK, maybe I got the link fixed. Yunz didn't really think a bunch a hillbillys could keep up a web page didja?)
...Oh wait, nevermind...

...anyway the new number is...
828-622-7676
This is the number for the Hot Springs Resort & Spa. Just tell'um you wana reserve a campsite.

Riverside Primitive Tent Sites $30.00 $40.00/night
(no utilities, up to 4 persons, $6 each additional person 2 cars and $6 each additional car)

Primitive Sites (off river)$20.00 $24.00/night
(no utilities, not on river, up to 4 people, $6 each additional person 2 cars and $6 each additional car)

riverside spots: 557, 549, 543, 539, 537, 531.... and 595
non-riverside spots: 522, 520...

If you are planning to camp at 565, 575, 585 pm me

KTM Mike's Ride:

THURS & FRI & SAT, weather permitting.

ALL TWISTY Pavement, Gravel, & maybe a few Forest Roads

The paved sections look like this:
(When you click this Sample Ride link, you may have to wait about 20 seconds for video to appear before you can start it)

http://advrider.com/forums/showpost....2&postcount=20

RIDE DETAILS:

SAFETY IS FIRST:
Please, no crazy stuff, no tailgating. Ride at your own safe pace, someone will be waiting at the next turnoff.

RIDING TOGETHER: If the guy in front of you stops, please stop with him, and everyone behind you will stop too, then leaders will return.
This way breakdowns will not end in chaos. This ride will move fairly quickly, but it is not a race. Work together.
This ride has 50 or 60 turns. We use a relay system to keep everyone together.

DEPARTURE: Meet THURSDAY AFTERNOON at 1PM, AND FRIDAY at 9AM, AND SATURDAY at 9AM at the STAGE/BANDSHELL in the middle of the campground, and we will try to leave within ten minutes.

BIKES:
Adventurebikes, Supermotos, Hypermotos, Dualsports. (no Cruisers, no Sportbikes, no Dressers please) Leave the luggage behind please.

TIRES: Dualsport tires of some sort (full knobbies are probably not necessary and street tires are not advisable this year because some of the gravel roads became extremely saturated and rutted due to excessive rains this summer).

FUEL: Please fill up your fueltank the night before. Your range should be at least 80 miles. Please bring cash for gas because many rural gas stations do not accept credit or debit cards.

LUNCH: Carry snacks & drink in case of delays. We will try to stop someplace quick & not fancy around lunchtime.

SPLITTING EARLY: If you decide to return to camp early, stop and tell the sweep. Bring maps so you can find your way back.
