Leaking valve cover

My front valve cover leaks oil, either at the oil tank breather tubes of the valve cover gasket itself. Anyone else have this issue? Should I use some rtv?

Does your bike fall under the cylinder head collar nut job? See the publication here...

Yes it does and I had it performed at the 600 mi service. The leak is not from the cylider gasket, but from the valve cover rubber gasket or the oring around the 90 degree oil tank breather tube fitting that enters the top of the valve cover.

Got it... sorry. How hard is the gasket to replace? Might be worth it just to clean it up or disassemble and make sure the gasket wasn't pinched when the last service was done. My opinion is to fix it rather than have a rtv-patch so bad. Good luck!

Yeah, I prefer no rtv, the gasket would be easy to replace if I had one right here..lol....i'll clean it up and if it still leaks just replace it at the next valve adjustment.
