Barstow to calif, coast.

Hello all, I am now sitting in Needles calif, 120f.. Man oh man this is hot.... Coming from mazatlan Mex
What I'd like to do is get to Barstow & then on to the calif, coast, and skip Bakersfield calif..
Is there something I'm missing? I'd like to skip out on the crazy interstate who ha...

I40 west , I 15 south, CA18 west, CA14 south, cut over to CA 126 will put you on the coast in Ventura... Hottest parts will be on the 40 where you are now.. Cooler the farther west you go..

Fog on the coast, you may need a jacket !

Stick to the highway and freeway. Too hot to get stuck somewhere by yourself.

Spafxr has you set up with the best route.

Had to dig a little to find that on a map, compared to the one I had ...
Thanks for that... Think ill go that way..

Tbarstow: I know what you mean, it was 118+ since noon getting to needles, everything I touch is on fire..

The hottest I've ridden was 115F, and I had to close my helmet shield to let my face cool down. I've worked in 117F, and that nearly killed me. Heat like that isn't much fun.

I hope you made it to the coast alright.
