Question KTM 640 Adventure Seat

Can anyone recommend a decent comfortable replacement seat for my 640. The stock one is great off road, however I'm looking to do a 4 week trip from Dubai, across Iran, Pakistan, India to Nepal and back. Don't want to be paralysed from the arse up by the vibrations. Searched but got a lot of non specific threads.

Cheers.

B.

Wrong forum, but I'd recommend Bojangles (Renazco Racing).

the ktm "comfort" seat is a huge improvement over stock for less than 100$us.

If you want even more of a butt cushion, I got my saddle re-worked by Bill Mayer Saddles. Ass bliss.

Whoa! I didn't think the KTM comfort seat fitted the Adventure?? I thought it only went o nthe Enduro cos of the different tank?

This sounds good...I was going to order a standard 2003 adventure seat for my 1999 knowing that theyre "better"...but this sounds much more like it.

Anyone got a part number please?

Ace, potential comfort! - Mat

PS Heres a pic from the weekend, the Hafren Rally in the UK

I'm ordering a junk of gel, and some memory foam to see if I can make mine better. It helps that my wife can sew!

Depends on his nationality, but 4 weeks is a waste, you cannot sample the diverse cultures in that time. Iran alone is a total pleasure to ride.

You're right.
A friend of mine was in Iran this May. He actually planned to go further to Turkmenistan but he was so stunned by Iran that he spend all his time (5 weeks) in Iran.

cheers

When I did my first RTW, I planned on giving Iran a week tops, but ended up staying nearly two months, I was over there earlier this year just to visit friends I made back in '86, I have been over there every couple of years since. It is one of the places I am seriously considering for when I retire.
