Idahosam trippin East and south

Hi'ya ADV community . Well not sure where this should go, but hell figured this is good a place as any.

This is going to be a sorta pictorial ride with no plan route and only knowing where I'll end up in the short run, my sisters house in Texas (that's the excuse to go that way) My goal is to take as many back roads as possible while looking for interesting places of interest along the way, and some not so interesting as long as it is photogenic

This started out as my sitting around the house (healing) knowing I need to go see my sister and her kids, it appears I have new additions to the family that need spoiling (great nieces/nephew) So I thought to myself ... and thought some more Hey, I should just ride over there lollygagging all the way "That's the Ticket!" but hey I've never really done the east much, how can I protract this, I could leave my bike at my sisters fly home, come back when it's freezing and gloomy up here and keep riding east southeast that is. maybe New Orleans, gulf coast, Key West; all on very thin black lined roads that I can find. Then maybe up the east coast I am just going to ride. Maybe see if I can find a couple of old Army buddies along the way

So the ride humm what to ride, east is mostly paved some dirt roads well I have just the right bike............ "Bagheera" my 06 Tiger.

All loaded and ready, looks be be prevailing skies, but hay it's the west it can change in a snap .

Well I am Packed and ready and the only thing I can promise on this ride is inconstancy and lots of pictures.

Put Moya the 990 away and saving the DRZ for a winter trip to Copper Canyon

Heading out Thursday Morning towards Wyoming/Utah

Have Camera will travel

So I'll just surprise you and myself as I travel east.

Hope to see you out there

Hi'ya Thumper I mean Aloha man been a long time. I just lurked in the other day to see the islands latest ride. You guys are brutal, bu in a good way.

OK, it is evident you don't camp off the bikes over there, not that it matters can't pack much on those 200-250 smokers anyway.

So, the yellow dry bag has Big Agnes sleeping bag and air mattress (same one I used in Hawaii) and mid size duffel with enough clothes and toiletries for extended period, and a small pillow (got to have some comforts) Oh, the yellow dry bag makes for a great backrest on long stretches highway.

Tail box (Givi) electronics as in laptop, camera equipment.

right box (pannier) some tools, chain lube, tire plugs, air compressor, rain gear and couple other odds and ends.

Left Box small cook kit, fuel tanks, shoes, sandals, small roll up chair, water bladder, and a jacket.

Tank Bag, cameras at the ready, munchies (cliff bars) chap stick, sunglasses etc.

So, not much really...... OOPS almost forgot, the black bag on top is a bike cover, as I will be storing the bike at my sisters for a bit and that the mornings can be moist in the south.

I'm off in the morning decided to head towards Bear Lake; why? never been there. Route to be determined as I go.

Let the lollygagging commence

Ride

Looks like to me the making of one heck of a good ride. You should be able to stay on schedule, and the correct route since you have neither. Will be watching this one as this late this fall that is what I want to do.

Only problem my sister wants me to come see her in Florida. But she insists I bring tools, as she has some honey do jobs that I need my carpenter tools for. Oh well a drive and then ride will be working all the time.

Got to keep this report on the first page. My turn to bump it up while Sam is still out riding and taking pictures.

Have fun Sam and report in when you have time.

Hi ya AZmike

Been a couple of days since I posted up, so while I am sitting here and Micky D with a hot apple pie and coffee and internet figured I get some pictures loaded

You just can't go wrong riding through Utah an West Colorado

loved UT44 through Manila to Vernal.

Riding out from Bear Lake into Wyoming past Ft Bridger was OK.

would not want to be behind this when it pooped

Next up Colorado.
