Nice roads in Northern Michigan???

I'm off next weekend to the Wisconsin Dells BMW rally, after that I'll be taking the ferry across the lake, then take 22N and do a loop through NW Michigan, N Wisconsin and then back to MN.

Any suggestions of nice and twisty roads in that area? Also, some advice on places to eat, stay or visit will be welcome.

Just got back from a ride to Marquette, MI from Racine,WI. I didn't come across too many twisty roads in the U.P. (I'm sure there are though) but some great riding along Hwy 28 which runs along Lake Superior from Marquette. If you camp there is the Gitche Gumme campground just East of Marquette on 28. About $28 a night right across the street from Lake Superior. Ask for site #1. Ranger Jeff welcomes all bikers. Also in Marquette there is the Tourist Park Campground. $16 a night and a clean good park to stay at. Have fun. I hope to get back up there to do more exploring.

Paved, unpaved, doesn't matter? The southern half of the UP is alright, but most of the really good stuff is north of M-28. Excellent gravel roads in the Ottawa National Forest north of Watersmeet. US-2 has some nice sections here and there.

I'd look forward to Northern WI though, There are a lot of really nice "alphabet roads" around Eagle River that look like a lot of fun. There are even some really narrow paved roads in the national forest around there (can't remember the name). Unfortunately, I can't remember any specifics as I was following automotive TSD-style instructions at the times I've been down there.
