Are there any stealth radar detectors?

Any stealth radar detectors? There used to be a Valentine one that was wired into a rearview mirror. It's not so much the steath as I don't want my handlebars to look like an electronics store.

These are all intriguing. $1200 for an escort or the Bel seems like a lot of money. The 8500 ci regular or plus seems like the sweet spot. Did you guys install them yourselves?

Thanks,
David

This one's not really stealth, but it does have a remote antenna unit. The control head/display can be mounted anywhere. This one is a Whistler 3450.

Here's the head/display unit:

The antenna unit is mounted just above the cruise control servo:

The "mark" that you let ride (or drive) in front of you

As to the cost of the commertial detectors: How much will a ticket cost you (including your time, and potential insurance rate increase)? Consider the cost of a good detector as an insurance premium.

Decided to delete my post which questioned if these devices actually work or not.

That is not the question the OP asked.

They do help , but they don't make you invisible. If you're going three times the speed limit , you're busted. They can also be a false sense of security. A decent radar detector also picks up other radar detectors. Then , of course , there are radar and laser jammers.
