A Nice Tire Change Solution

This was posted by Desmofan, and I think it deserves its own thread. I hope this is not considered spam, I am posting this becouse this tool helped me in Baja, and is really a nice and easy way to get past the beadlock prob. that we have w/ our back tires.

I have to go an I will finish posting later

I can't tell what's in the bag. It must be one of those folding camp saws!

Looks expensive though.

You edited your post, so I will edit mine. Is that the mythical helmet cable I see?

Question

looks like youd wrap and attach that wirerope to something on the opposite side of the tire and us it as a leverage point to use the beadbreaker? Otherwise it looks like a garden tool

That is pretty cool. I had a similar idea that was less parts, I'll have to proto type it first though. I'm ready to change the 950 rear so now's a good time to try some ideas!
