Another "legal" DS Ride Montebello VA 6/20 ?

More a question than an offer. I've missed the last couple due to lack of time but I'm free this weekend.

So anyone willing to show me and anyone else interested the trail system, I kayak back there a lot (piney, Tye, statons) but I'm not familure with the riding trails. Looking for mostly dirt, I'll be on my DR 250.

Anyone, Beuller...

I can't make it 6/20, but I'm coming up to Montebello on 6/21 if that works.

I've got good local knowledge, so I can show you all the good "legal" stuff.

If not Sunday sometime soon.

I'll check tonight, see if my kitchen pass is transferable, and let you know.

I'm looking forward to it.

Outside chance (way outside)

Depending upon certain factors, I may be able to provide my usual sweep rider service (seldom fast - always last):1
1- ability to further delay my need for worship
2- progress on reducing the overflow honey-do list (a MAJOR factor)
3- ability to find the time to replace missing pieces and remove mud coating form the last "race" folly---geez I'm slow----geez it's hard to pick the bike up so frequently
4- ability to apply the "Fathers' Day forgiveness" factor to #2 and #3

Weather looks somewhat "iffy" up there....intermittent thunderstorms....30% chance of precip (70% chance of dryness?)

If I have to miss this one, I'll be looking for some other opportunities to follow Yeti around. Y'all have fun and ride safe!

The way you ride, Mangonos, you could keep up riding a GoldWing. Wish I could attend but I need to spend the weekend with my 91 year old father. Don't know how many more FD's are left. Have fun.

Looks like we've got a few takers for a ride on Sunday 6/21.

How about meeting at the Montebello store on 56 at 10:30am?? Plenty of parking at the store.

We can do a 50 mile loop that has just about all you could ask for. Shoe Creek is a bit rocky and wet, so knobbys and a bash plate are in order.

We can also do a loop over to Big Levels. All the best "legal" trails in the area.

What if the forest service was monitoring the site for rides and setting up traps? Have I been watching too much of the Iran situation?

See you Sunday at 10:30

After they do a lot of monitoring, and a lot of stopping of fully legal, courteous riders without finding anything wrong, they'll give up, realize how much fun dual sporting is and start riding with us? Then they'll see how little impact dual sporting has on trails and convince their superiors to open up more trails?

Y'all have fun.
