Eastern Sierra & WMRS Ride/Camp 2009
It's about that time of the year again, last Aug. 2nd the White Mountain Research Station opened it's door to the public. This has becomed an annual pilgrimage for many riders throughout CA, NV, and AZ. The research station at 12,500 feet is probably one of the highest destination for us flatlanders. The peak at over 14,000 feet again was conquered by a few healthy FFs.
WMRS Link: http://www.wmrs.edu/ http://www.wmrs.edu/community/open%20house/default.htm Last year's ride report: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=369576 Before moving on, we would like to thank Stonewall for his dedication and effort in keeping this event alive for the last many years.... Though the WMRS ride was on a Sunday, many arrived a few days earlier to explore other parts of the Eastern Sierra. Brown's Campgroun at Benton Crossing on Friday afternoon ![]() ![]() ![]() Sopascat and RandyM, both from SoCal ![]() To those who missed this landmark, it means you passed the turn off ![]() There were many cows in the area and surely it became man vs cow that weekend. I think 2 injuries and vehicular damages (2 bikes and 1 suv).
