F800 Fork Spring Upgrades
I want to upgrade the internals on my fork. What is the best option, I have looked at the Hyperpro and Progressive. Anyone have experience with these, are they worth the money over stock.
thanks |

Don't know about springs but you should change your name to F800scoob.

Hyperpro springs
I have Hyperpro springs and yes I feel it is a noticable difference.
It is very important to get a spring that is correct for your weight. For the $ I paid its good enough, I cant afford Bitubo's. Cheers Crock

Like Old Croc, I have the Hyperpro progressive springs, much better, if not really plush. For the money they seem to be a good mod. I haven't played with the fork oil yet but ItsaTDM who has done a LOT of research
says to try 10 weight oil with a 70mm air gap, which I will when I get time. I have noticed that you need more preload and damping on the rear shock as well to balance the bike.Bottom line ... used to hate the way the forks bounced of things, now not such a big issue and bike absorbs pretty big hits without bottoming. I wouldn't have minded if BMW had consulted with Husqvarna a bit more and spent a little more money on the suspension, but ... this is a BMW blind spot. I've had three over the years R80G/S PD, R1100GS and F800GS ... and none of them had great suspension ... especially the front.
