Farkle or F*(k it?
I'm at a turning point with my Seca 2. It's a great bike, doesn't eat anything, paid for. Doesn't need anything other than fork seals, and a few odds and ends. I've got less $300 in the thing...
![]() I'm half tempted to sell it and buy a Ducati Monster but, the other side says "it's paid for stupid, buy the bags, and more to make it a sport tourer." The bike is comfortable, reliable, and debt-free. What would you do?

Keep it and buy a monster anyway.
Spare bikes are good to have around for times the other needs work, or a friend is in town, or a n00b wants to borrow it, etc. |

Keep your paid-for bike, skip the new one with the PAYMENTS - save the money for when the dollar goes to shit.

As a friend of mine says " How bad do you want to feel good ? "
only you can answer that one. If you are not up to your eyeballs in debt and can afford it why not get something you like and will ride.

keep th eold one. it will always be what it is worth now. and it won't cost you anything to keep it.
If you got money burning awhole in your pocket get another used one that has already done the depressiation thing. hten you have the nightmare of trying to decide which bike to ride. have one for the trail and one for the road.

Keep the Yammi.
Ride it on fire roads, park it outside in a bad area of town and not worry, let friends borrow it, enjoy all the things that you won't want to do with a new Ducati. |

I have a similar issue at the moment too. I have a Yamaha 900 Diversion, which I think is a Seca over there, it has 130,000ks on it, but it does everything I need in a bike, owes me nothing, has full Givi luggage, just done fork seals
, and would need to find a fair amount of money to upgrade.I would say, if you like what you have, keep it. Plus, if you get a Ducati, you will need the Seca for when the Duke is broken down

![]() It would make more sense to buy something with your money while it's still worth something. I'd rather spend $8000 on a motorcycle than a loaf of bread. FWIW, I'd keep the Seca and add something to the stable that gets my juices flowing. That's what bikes are for to me. Even if the Duc is very reliable, and you even do your own maintenance, it'll come in handy as a loaner or a backup when the Duc is down for things like a backordered tire or valve shim. |

![]() I agree it's more fun, but... If you can buy the Ducati outright, I'd say WTF too... The more people give me money FIRST, the more money I give out (spend)...
