Anyone here a carpenter near Cumming, GA?

I was wondering if anyone here happens to be a carpenter and can replace a bay window for me at a customer's house in Cumming, GA. I shattered it with a rock with my lawnmower last week and need to get it fixed asap.

Thought I'd see if anyone here could do it and wants the work before I schlep through the yellow pages.

Did you find someone? Do you need a carpenter or glass replacement?

I have found a few guys but only one bothered to get back to me with a price... I wasn't expecting $1200 to replace a window. It was hard as hell to get someone to call me back. Still looking for more estimates today...

I need a window replaced but a decent carpenter should be able to do it.

Well, not knowing the details, whole windows are more expensive than glass replacement. I just had to replace some glass on a customers home under similar circumstances. I call a glass company. Even installed glass is expensive, but less than whole windows. They can replace single pane, insulated, low e, whatever.

I would try to find a very local company, but if all else fails call The Glass Company in Woodstock. 678-494-4092. They will need some info to quote you. Dimensions, single, double etc.

I used these guys to do my replacement.

You may still have to do some caulking and painting.

Good Luck!

that is the same problem we have up here, ya know three places and still haven't found anyone to get the blackberries mowed down!, looks like I will rent a tractor soon myself (I know you can;t do it so I'm not poking)

the dang plumber showed up finally, a few weeks after we did the job our self, after waiting month's and months before.......

I had a dang electrician come in from locust grove that a friend of ours knew after trying for a year to get that job done, I did find one guy that would had done it, 1600 to drop a subpanel in the basement with aluminum wire 80ft long........ no, I did not use him for that three hour job. what this place needs is someone who can put all this together for people and get the jobs done now, one could make a good living up here by showing up and doing the damn work for a fair price.

the other thing we learned up here, if you hear someone can;t make their payments and need the work bad...........DO NOT HIRE THEM!

they want to charge you thee most for the poorest service because they are starving! and then tell you how they are doing you a favor....... yes that actually happened to us.
