learning the ropes?

So I am poised to recieve my first trials bike and my thoughts are about taking care of it as much as riding it. I have looked after my bikes in the past but for many years being too busy/lazy have given them to the dealer to service. So has anyone got any good leads to online or paper learning material. I am ashamed to say I need to read up on everything from changing tyres etc. I still work with tools and mechanical things etc so I am not completely useless
