This is my first ride report I got involved in this ride through Two Wheeled Texans, www.TWTEX.com and got a lot of inspiration reading reports of the likes of Fishfund's 3 months on a Husky 610.

I live in Houston, TX, about 5 hours from the border of Mexico. I'm a certified bike nut, 15 in the garage, one for any occasion. Our destination, Galeana, Mexico, Nuevo Leon, Hotel Magdelena, is approx 150 slow miles from the border. This was my first dual sport ride longer than 10 miles down a dirt road, but I have tons of dirt and street experience, some track days and a little racing, mostly in brief spurts when time allows. Other than a few weekend trips to Hot Springs Arkansas or Austin Texas I've never really taken a motorcycle specific vacation. Better late than never! I had an amazing time in an amazing place.
