Slow progress.... i've been distracted by trying to finish another project..

Sheeesshh... You think I'd know by know to finish one before starting the other..

Had a really good yack with Mr Rooney. I'm convinced to go twin shock now. Hence I'm on the search for a good conventional front end, preferably Husky 1988ish single disk. Failing that a nice Marzocchi 50mm conventional. USD forks and twin shock would look silly.. I'm gunna use my sapre ITC ohlins for the rear. RAD shock repairs did a great job on the one on the twofiddy husky..
I've got a stack of BMW bits on fleabay at the mo'. All funds to the BMVarna build!! :-)

Stay tuned...

Little bit of an update. Sold some bits on ebay to finance the project and did really really well. It suprised me! Had to make a little tool up to get the driveshaft out...

All just to get this out!! Gettting it back together is gunna be exciting...

So it's off to see the welder and try and convince him my ideas are Ok...
Stay tuned.

Had a total swerve in plans... This happens..

Dropped the frame and bits off at a local engineering place, Kellets motorcycle engineering and had a big chat. Printed out a big a4 pic of what I want and left it in his good hands... It's gunna be slow as he's busier than a one armed paper hanger with an itch....... Stay tuned..

If your getting Dave to do the driveshft it may pay to get him to do the swingarm & frame mods as well as throw the whole assembly on the jig.

I'm very happy with the alignment picture Dave created on MY G/S.
No problems with tyre clearance, drive shaft fouling or wheel alignment.

Bike tracks true and turns smooth.

Well worth the wait.

Gudday!
Yup, busted me. Flyin is good...... I've given up sex, alcohol, bikes, tobacco and caffeine on occasion but NEVER the flying! I've tried a coupla times to be the sensible responsible adult and sold my glider but I'm inevitably drawn back to it...
