NOVA - Gilberts Corner to Morton's

I'm riding down to Morton's tomorrow morning. I'm going to take 15 to 17 (a little out of the way) unless anyone has another good suggestion.

I realize that this is a bit late... Maybe you can use it next time. If I have time to spare, I'll stay on Rt 29 down to Brandy Station, then take Carrico Mills down to Rt 3. From there head down through the Wilderness Battlefield to Spotsylvania Courthouse and then out 208 to the new shop (goes right past the old shop). Completely avoid the whole I-95/US-1 mess.

I didn't see this until MrEnloe bumped it . . .

Next time, from Gilbert's Corner:
  • west on 50 to Middleburg
  • south on 626 to The Plains
  • west on 55 to Marshall
  • southwest on 647 to Flint Hill
  • south on 729 to Culpepper
  • east on 3 to Wilderness
  • south on 613 (I think) to Spotsylvania
  • east on 208 to Morton's

That's not the definitive route, of course. Open a map and plot your own.
